Nearly two dozen Bellefontaine Middle School 7th-graders were recognized for their outstanding leadership skills this month.

Last Friday marked the 7th grade's initial grade-level community meeting. This is a time when all 7th-grade teachers and students get together following announcements and talk about the week.

Students are given praise for overall positive notions by the whole student body, and they are given a focus goal for the next week. The meeting wraps up with each teacher announcing a "Star Student" who has shown exemplary work, effort, kindness, and behavior in class. After the meeting, students are given a celebratory recess or fun activity to participate in.
