Bellefontaine junior Ollie Moreland certainly “aced” the ACT.

The scholar scored a perfect 36 on the test earlier this spring at BHS.

The four-hour exam tests high school students’ skills in English, reading, math, and science.

There were a total of 216 questions on the ACT.

Moreland said, “I’m happy and relieved that I don’t have to take the test again.”

Ollie, who has a 4.4 grade point average, wants to study computer science in college.

Moreland has been a part of TEAMS (Tests of engineering aptitude, mathematics, and science), robotics, cross country, and track at BHS.

His parents are Tom and Rachel Moreland.

Bellefontaine City Schools Gifted Coordinator Angie Horvath shared, “Ollie is a very dedicated, hardworking student and he is extremely deserving of this honor. He comes to school each day ready to learn and grow. All of us here at BHS are so excited to celebrate this achievement with Ollie.”

Less than one percent of high school students nationwide score a 36 on the ACT.
