Longtime Bellefontaine City Schools Truancy Officer Shannon Maier has resigned after serving the district for 20 years.

Maier’s final day at BCS was last Friday.

Her replacement is Sean Egler, who previously served as the in-school suspension supervisor at BHS.

Maier had high praise for her colleagues.

She said, “It has been a great honor to serve alongside you in our community to help lead, guide, and direct our students and their families to further their success in the Chieftain Nation and beyond. It has been a privilege to be a part of something so great.”

Maier recently started a small business (Journey Living) in downtown Bellefontaine.

BCS thanks Shannon for her many years of service.
