History came to life at the Bellefontaine Intermediate School Wax Museum earlier this month.

Fourth-graders dressed in a variety of Revolutionary War era costumes and delivered a speech describing the person they were portraying.

Parents and staff had a chance to see George Washington, Benjamin Franklin, Paul Revere, Alexander Hamilton, Betsy Ross, King George III, and more.

Initially, fourth-graders worked in groups to research an event that led up to the American Revolution, including the Boston Massacre, Boston Tea Party, and the Intolerable Acts. Each student then researched a person who was involved in the American Revolution. Finally, fourth-graders wrote a speech from the perspective of that historical figure.

Each pupil learned how to find reliable research sources, how to write a speech, and how to present in front of others.
