The Bellefontaine High School Guidance Department reminds students and parents about three important events this month.

OHP Freshman Showcase:

On Friday, April 21st all freshman students will travel to Benjamin Logan to participate in the Ohio Hi-Point Freshman Showcase.

Ohio Hi-Point is bringing "OHP on the Road" and setting up a mini career fair at Benjamin Logan. All of our freshman students will have the opportunity to participate in hands-on activities and learn about a variety of career pathways. Whether OHP will be their right fit or not, this is a great opportunity for all students to know what opportunities OHP has to offer while also learning about a variety of career pathways for their futures.

Senior Signing Day Event:

On Wednesday, April 26th at 10 a.m. we will be having our Senior Signing Day event in the Distance Learning Center (DLC) for all senior students.

During this event, students will sign a certificate and "commit" to their 3-E plan for after graduation, whether that be Employment, Enlistment, or Enrollment. We will have special guests from the community here to celebrate our seniors and their decision on what they plan to do following graduation. We look forward to celebrating each of our seniors!

College Bound Junior Meetings:

The BHS Guidance Department will hold two meetings for juniors in the Class of 2024 about the College Application process and using Naviance for college applications.

On Thursday, April 27th we will host a parent meeting that students are also welcome to attend in the DLC at 6 p.m.

Then on Friday, April 28th we will be meeting with juniors during Advisory in the DLC and will present the same information.

Current juniors in the class of 2024 who are considering going to college should attend one of these meetings. The objective of the meeting is to prepare rising seniors for the college application process, including knowing what to expect over the next year and things to do to prepare over the summer.
