Academic success led to sweet treats for hundreds of Bellefontaine High School students last month.

BHS recently hosted its annual Sweet Rewards ceremony in the main gym.

The Bellefontaine High School Academic Boosters Club recognized freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and seniors for earning a 3.0 grade point average or higher in the first semester.

362 students were honored with sweet rewards, including donuts, cookies, milk, and water.

BHS students then played The Price is Right in their quest to take home prizes.

Technology was showcased, too.

Students played the game on their Chromebook or phone.

30 prizes worth over a combined $200 were given away.

More than $400 in cash was handed out by spinning a wheel featuring each student’s name.

BHS Principal Dr. Pam Noeth emceed Sweet Rewards.

Valerie Kauffman from the Academic Boosters Club served as the chairperson of the event.

Bellefontaine City Schools Gifted Coordinator Angie Horvath reflected on the ceremony. “The entire focus of the Academic Boosters Club is to enhance academics and honor kids who make academics a priority.”

The spring awards ceremony will be held on May 13th in the high school auditorium.
