The Bellefontaine High School Marching Band has sharpened their skills the last few weeks at two band camps.

The first camp was held at BHS July 11th-14th.

The 94-member Pride of the Tribe learned the music and fundamental marching style.

The band then went to Wright State to conduct their annual band camp July 18th-22nd.

It was hot and so was the work they put in on the show "Fly Me to the Moon."

The show features the following songs: “Moonlight Sonata” by Beethoven, “Rocket Man” by Elton John, “Theme from Apollo 13” by James Horner, and “Fly Me to the Moon” made famous by Frank Sinatra.

The band will open the season this Friday at the Bellefontaine-Sidney football game at Sidney Memorial Stadium at 7 p.m.

The annual Band Spectacular will be held on Saturday, September 10th at AcuSport Stadium beginning at 7 p.m.

The band is directed by Jeremy Karg and Heather Johnson with guard advisor Morgan Brugler. Ashely Wood is the color guard designer and Matthew Dawson is the percussion instructor.
