BHS hosted the 45th annual Logan County Financial Aid Night on Thursday.

The guest speaker was Anthony Dickman from the OSU-Lima Office of Financial Aid.

He explained the FAFSA process and discussed different types of aid that is available.

Dickman also detailed how to complete the necessary financial aid applications.

High school juniors and seniors along with their parents attended.

If you missed the session, contact the BHS guidance department.

BHS students also attended the 41st annual Logan County College Day at Benjamin Logan High School last Friday.

The Midwest Regional Educational Service Center hosted College Day.

Karen Sorreles, who’s the youth development liaison at the MRESC, welcomed in 73 colleges, 2 businesses, and the military.

The colleges included 2-year, 4-year, and technical schools.

The 2 local businesses were Mary Rutan Hospital and Marker Construction.

Both companies offered tuition reimbursement for future associates.

The military featured representatives from the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard, and Army National Guard.

Sorreles said College Day was a big success.

She added, “We want to create opportunities for the 3Es (Enrollment, Employment, and Enlistment). We invited colleges from Ohio and surrounding states. This event gives local students options to explore.”

Area 7th-graders are invited to Career Day at Riverside on October 28th.
