Four Bellefontaine City Schools students are set to compete in the Logan County Spelling Bee at the Holland Theatre on Tuesday, January 17th at 6 p.m.

Last month, Caden Yoder, Sloan Stolly, Eva Wilson, and William Campbell qualified for the county bee.

The Midwest Regional Educational Service Center hosts the county spelling bee each winter.

The bee features students from Bellefontaine City Schools, Benjamin Logan, Indian Lake, and Riverside.

Each building sends their top two spellers to the county competition.

Here’s a list of the top two spellers from their respective buildings:

Bellefontaine Middle School – seventh-graders Caden Yoder and Sloan Stolly

Bellefontaine Intermediate School – fifth-graders Eva Wilson and William Campbell

Benjamin Logan Middle School – eighth-grader Holly Coaty and seventh-grader Autumn Cline

Indian Lake Middle School – eighth-grader Grace Johnson and fifth-grader Starr Leonhart

Riverside Middle School – seventh-graders Clara McGill and Chance Magoto

Riverside Elementary School – sixth-grader Emma Blair and fifth-grader Shailyn Giles

BCS swept top honors in the 2022 Logan County Spelling Bee at Riverside.
