Success Center Celebration of Excellence

The Success Center celebrated student achievement on Friday.

33 students completed their course work and will graduate early from Bellefontaine High School this month.

The Success Center is located in the BHS Library.

Students can catch up on credits and receive academic support.

The Success Center is used as an alternative space for students that struggle in their regular classroom. Students can complete courses online as well as get extra help on outside classes. Goals are set weekly with each student to work towards academic success. Students who meet their goals earn Friday rewards sponsored by CoverLink Insurance.

The First United Presbyterian Church in Bellefontaine donated funds for each student to receive a Go Chiefs T-shirt.

Several awards were presented on Friday. Here’s the list of recipients.

Get Back on the Horse – Jennifer Ashba

Look How Far You Have Come – Emily Fissel

The Success Center opened in August 2017.

Molli Jackson is the Success Center coordinator.

Jean Minnick and Jake Kennedy are Success Center teachers.

Students were then invited to a signing event hosted by the Logan County Chamber of Commerce and Midwest Regional Educational Service Center.

Each high school senior is encouraged to explore What’s Your E.

The 3E’s stand for Employed, Enlisted, and Enrolled.

The goal is to ensure that prior to graduation, every student in Logan County has committed to either: Employment at a local company, Enlistment in the military, or Enrollment in a 2- or 4-year college.
