The latest episode of “Chieftain Roll Call” spotlights the Bellefontaine High School boys basketball team.

Initially, the Bellefontaine High School Key Club launched the podcast in January 2022.

The newly-formed Chieftain Backers are in charge of the podcast this school year.

The weekly show focuses on BHS Athletics and student organizations.

The most recent show features Bellefontaine head boys basketball coach Henry Stolly along with seniors Carter Snapp and Keagon Overton-Story.

Stolly recapped the regular season and discussed the team’s growth over the last 12 months.

Last year, the Chiefs went 4-19. This year’s team enters tournament play at 10-12.

Stolly praised Snapp and Overton-Story for persevering through trying seasons as sophomores and juniors.

Both seniors talked about their vast improvement since ninth grade.

Snapp and Overton-Story looked ahead to the sectional tournament game vs. Springfield Shawnee.

The Chiefs will battle the Braves tomorrow at Springfield High School. The game will tip off at 3 p.m.

The first guests on this episode were Bellefontaine students Jack Varner and Austin Hammond.

Varner and Hammond reflected on last week’s Super Bowl, recapped recent NBA trades, and discussed the ongoing struggles for the Ohio State men’s basketball team.

The Buckeyes have lost seven straight.

“Chieftain Roll Call” is hosted by Bill Tipple.

Students in Aaron Gregor’s TV Production class help produce and record the show.

“Chieftain Roll Call” is sponsored by Easton Water Solutions.
