Longtime teacher Krista Belser is this week’s recipient.

Title: 6th grade English Language Arts Teacher

Years of experience: I have taught at BCS for 30 years (substitute teacher, 2nd, 4th, 6th, and 7th grades). I also taught at Indian Lake for 1 year.

Why you love being a Chieftain: I have been a Chieftain from Day 1. My family and my husband’s family are all BCS grads. Basically, I bleed red and black.

Classroom motto or quote to live by: Be the change you wish to see in the world.

What you love doing outside of school: I love to read, go to Chieftain sporting events, go to concerts, and spend time with my family and friends.
