B-Block assembly

Bellefontaine Elementary School recently celebrated student leadership with a schoolwide assembly.

Students in grades K-2 were recognized through the PBIS (positive behavioral interventions and supports) B-Block pledge.

The pledge is to be kind, be a leader, and be responsible for myself.

The Bellefontaine High School Jazz Band played as students entered the gym.

Students watched a video explaining the B-Block pledge.

Chieftain Leaders and Students of the Week played games with teachers.

The games included the antler toss, crate paper Christmas tree, and indoor snowball toss.

Students with perfect attendance were presented a certificate.

The assembly was hosted by BES Assistant Principal Denise Johnson.

She said, “We are promoting positive behavior for all of our students. We’re looking for kindness, responsibility, and leadership. This was a time to celebrate those positive things going on in our school.”

Another B-Block assembly will be held in May.
