If you like watching marching bands, Bellefontaine High
School is the place to be this weekend.
BHS will host its 35th annual Band Spectacular Saturday
night at seven o’clock at AcuSport Stadium.
The Band Spectacular started as a band
competition, then evolved into a fun performance opportunity for area bands.
A variety of diverse music and style will be
represented in each band's performance, making each show unique. Different
types of bands will participate, such as show bands (non-competitive bands) and
contest bands, which compete for a superior rating and a chance to compete at a
statewide competition later in the season.
Ten area high school bands
will perform, including Riverside, Jackson Center, North Union, Triad, Urbana,
Indian Lake, West Liberty-Salem, Benjamin Logan, Graham, and Bellefontaine.
The theme for the BHS band
show is On the Radio: Songs of Generation
Z.
Admission is $5 for ages 6
and older. Admission will be charged at the gate and no passes will be
accepted.
The Bellefontaine Music
Boosters will be selling concessions. 50/50 tickets will also be available.
