Three grants helped several Bellefontaine Intermediate School students learn multiple skills in ’22-’23.

The 5th-grade business team, Busy BIS, was awarded two grants last fall from the Logan County Education Foundation, the # Ripple Effect and the Dr. Robert and Marlene Carter Grant.

The team also received a Mary Florence Sours Grant. The monies from these generous donors allowed students to learn and experience several real life business skills.

Here’s a quick glance at the experiences 5th-graders enjoyed because of generous donations:

Fundraising

Grants

Committee work

Surveys

Purchasing

Ordering

Accounting

Marketing

Scheduling appointments for over 150 people

Time management

Fulfilling orders

Inventories

Lots of brainstorming and compromises

Active listening

Problem solving

Running the school store

Thank you again for your support and generous donation to the Busy BIS team.
