Bellefontaine High School recently named its Seniors of the Month.

Name: Katie Pool

Parents: Aaron and Emily Pool

Address: Bellefontaine

School activities and awards: Varsity Volleyball Leadership Award, Varsity Track, First Team CBC in Shot/Discus, Regional Qualifier in Track, Les Fons, Symphonic Choir Section Leader, and Envirothon Officer.

If I were principal for a day: I would have a field day.

Favorite school memory: Hanging out with my friends during 5th period study hall in Kristy Mount’s room.

People who have been an inspiration to me: Everyone I have met has taught me something.

Lately I’ve been reading: The Awakening.

My advice to parents: Encourage your kids to pursue their interests.

My biggest regret: I wish I was more social as a freshman.

Next year: I will be attending Ashland University.

Name: Malcolm DeSouza

Parents: Doug and Dana Corwin

Address: Bellefontaine

School activities and awards: Honor Roll, Les Fons, Musicals, and Solo & Ensemble.

If I were principal for a day: I would like to have a Spirit Day that allowed people to wear hats.

Favorite school memory: Going to see Aladdin with the choir my freshman year.

People who have been an inspiration to me: My parents and all of my music teachers (Mrs. Calton, Mrs. Mitchell, and Mr. Henry).

Lately I’ve been reading: All of my school work. When I was younger, reading was my favorite subject but it’s been a while since I’ve read a book.

My advice to parents: Time goes fast, but don’t take time for granted. Be proactive in your child’s life.

My biggest regret: Not applying for National Honor Society.

Next year: I will be attending Bowling Green State University to study music arts.
