First-graders at Bellefontaine Elementary School enjoyed a non-traditional Thanksgiving Feast on Thursday.

Students have been discussing the difference between facts and opinions, with the help of Mo Willems’ beloved Pigeon character.

First-graders shared an opinion about why the Pigeon might prefer hots dogs for Thanksgiving dinner, then held a non-traditional feast.

First-graders enjoyed their time together as a whole grade level.

The first-grade teachers would like to thank the many volunteers who supplied items and their time to help make the event happen.
