Bellefontaine High School graduate Scott Elliott recently spoke to seniors in the service learning program at BHS.

Elliott graduated from Bellefontaine in 1989.

He delivered a powerful message to the group of soon-to-be graduates.

Elliott touched on a variety of topics about his life and the unique experiences he’s undertaken.

His primary theme was for students to “get out of their comfort zone.”

Elliott discussed how he overcame feelings of inferiority by getting involved with group activities.

He parlayed his childhood experiences in karate into an incredible fighting career in Toughman Contests.

Those competitions opened another door for Elliott.

He worked for the Fox Network channel FX as an emcee for nationally televised events.

Elliott asked the BHS seniors to “not let others define you.”

Elliott has served many years for the United Way and Kiwanis organizations in Logan County.

He thanked the students for their yearlong service as part of the BHS Service Learning Program.
