The following is from BCS Food Service Supervisor Winnie Jacks.

Like many other school districts, Bellefontaine City Schools is dealing with nationwide food supply shortages. The district’s food distributors are struggling to fulfill orders on time. Due to the shortages and food substitution options, this is affecting our menu selections.

We know school lunches provide a critical service for many of our families. Bellefontaine is committed to ensuring that every student has access to healthy, nutritious meals at school.

Breakfast and lunch menus are subject to change, but we are doing our best to serve what is on the menu. Substitutions will be the norm.

While the current situation is less than ideal, BCS is committed to working through these challenges and we certainly appreciate your patience and understanding.
