Two Bellefontaine Middle School students have been recognized for their elite artistic skills.

Eighth-grader Catherine Armstrong and seventh-grader Haidyn Tully were chosen as honored artists for the 42nd Annual Art Exhibitions sponsored by the Ohio Art Education Association.

Catherine's piece "Christmas Collection" will be displayed in a virtual Youth Art Month Exhibit, while Haidyn's piece "Stop Child Abuse" will be displayed in the Young People's Art Exhibit, which will also be virtual.

Both exhibitions include 95 student artworks from all over the state.

Virtual receptions for artists will take place on Sunday, March 13th.

The BMS art teacher is Lori Lowery.
