Enlistment event at BHS

Bellefontaine High School students learned about enlistment opportunities on Wednesday.

Several BHS students met with recruiters from every branch of the military during their lunch period.

Representatives from the Army, Army National Guard, Air Force, Marines, Navy, and Coast Guard showcased their respective branches.

Karen Sorreles from the Midwest Regional Educational Service Center organized the event on behalf of the Logan County Collaborative.

Enlistment Week is an effort to bring great awareness to all available branches of the military.

Recruiters also stopped by Benjamin Logan, Indian Lake, and Riverside this week.

Their final stop will be the Ohio Hi-Point Career Center on Friday.

Each high school senior is encouraged to explore What’s Your E.

The 3E’s stand for Employed, Enlisted, and Enrolled.

The goal is to ensure that prior to graduation, every student in Logan County has committed to either: Employment at a local company, Enlistment in the military, or Enrollment in a 2 or 4-year college.
