The Bellefontaine High School Service Learning program has been busy with projects in the community this school year.

The program recently recognized the high school athletic coaches working as volunteers.

There are 28 individuals volunteering their time to Bellefontaine athletes in the 2021-2022 school year.

The BHS Success Center designed and purchased T-shirts from JC Sports. The cost of the shirts was covered by Foursight Financial and Eichholtz, Daring, & Sanford Funeral Homes. Dairy Queen donated gift certificates to each coach.

BHS volunteer football coaches Richard McDaniel and Luke Varner joined “Chieftain Roll Call”, a BHS Key Club podcast, to discuss the project and their service to the Bellefontaine community. Former coach Bart Pattison was featured, too.

The following individuals were recognized for their service:

Football – Richard McDaniel, Luke Varner, and Delmar Fogan

Boys Soccer – Rockey Cane

Girls Soccer – Steve Henry and Morgan Wilcoxon

Cheer – Andrea Simon

Boys Golf – Paul Kite

Girls Golf – Brady Hiatt

Boys Basketball – Mark Brunswick, Andy Crabill, and Drew Crabtree

Girls Basketball – Abby Boop, Brad Rader, and Randy Varner

Bowling – Robby Weikart and Jeremy Ryan

Swimming – Kody Graham

Softball – Rick Gildow, Jeff Morrison, Michelle Zedeker, and Chris Stricker

Track – Bob Core

Baseball – Josh Wallace, Mark Brunswick, Austin Kelly, Jeff Turner, Mike Mosbarger, and Donny Kauffman
