Bellefontaine City Schools is spotlighting its counselors during National School Counseling Week (February 6th-10th).

Today, we’re celebrating the work of Lindsey Maus.

Title: Bellefontaine Elementary School Counselor

Years of experience: 18 years

Why you enjoy working at BCS: Interacting with students every day brings me laughter, joy, frustration, and satisfaction. I like that I’m a little bit of a celebrity when I’m out in the community. Seeing students' faces light up when they see me outside of school is a highlight of my day. I really enjoy all of my co-workers, who have also become good friends. I like the way we support each other and work together to help students be successful at school. I have enjoyed meeting and working with staff at the other buildings as my own children have moved up through the buildings in the district.

What you love doing outside of school: I enjoy spending time with my two sons and husband, running, hiking, reading, swimming, and going on vacation with my family.
