Bellefontaine Intermediate School students enjoyed a Halloween-themed project this month.

Third-graders in Mrs. Pulfer and Mr. Crabill’s classes decorated a pumpkin based on their favorite book character, then wrote a short paragraph about why that character was their favorite.

Students participated in a pumpkin walk last Friday. They saw each pumpkin and read about what made that character so great.

While students were admiring each other's pumpkins, they were able to leave positive notes to the creator of the pumpkin. Some of the positive notes read "Wow, you are very creative," "You did a great job making this look like the character," and "You should be really proud of your work."

The kids liked seeing each other's hard work on display and getting positive notes about their hard work!

The pumpkins are set in the display case for the whole school to see.
