The Bellefontaine High School DECA team shined at the Ohio DECA District Fall Leadership Conference and Competition last Thursday.

23 teams attended the event at Bluffton University.

The following Chiefs brought home DECA Diamond awards.

Katie Crabill, Emma Middaugh, and Ashton Carey - 3rd place Branding Champion

Morgan Johns - 4th place - Advertising Event, Heat 1

Lauren Anderson - 4th place - Job Interview, Heat 1

Brook Hilleary - 2nd place - Job Interview, Heat 2

Chloe Lloyd - 4th place - Speech Contest

Meagan Rhodes - 2nd place - Advertising Event, Heat 2

Maddie Williams - 3rd place - Job Interview, Heat 3

Zach Horvath and Seth Taylor - 2nd place - Team Management, Heat 1

Daniela Hernandez and Avery Plikerd - 5th place - Team Management, Heat 2

Layci Salyer - 5th place - Job Interview, Heat 4

Ellise St. Clair and Harleigh Jenkins - 3rd place - Team Management, Heat 3

The Chiefs will compete in the Ohio DECA District 3 Career Development Conference at the University of Findlay in February.

The state competition will be in March.

Bellefontaine High School Marketing Management Teacher and DECA Advisor Katie Rychener said, “Congratulations to all of the marketing students. They were exceptionally professional and represented BHS with pride!”
