BHS students decoration for Pumpkin Walk

Students from the Bellefontaine High School Art Department collaborated with local business owners to design and decorate their storefronts for Bellefontaine’s First Friday event, the Pumpkin Walk.

Students worked with Craft, Paper, Scissors owner Nancy Funderburgh to create large-scale Nightmare Before Christmas-themed murals.

Other students designed Mickey Mouse inspired work to decorate the windows of Lee’s Shoes owned by Jack Reser.

Each young artist added a Bellefontaine and Fall twist to classic Disney characters to make the scenes even more relatable for the community.

The Pumpkin Walk is Friday, October 1st from 4-8 p.m. and includes trick-or-treat, hayrides, photo ops, face painting, and more. The event is organized by The Downtown Bellefontaine Partnership.

Melanie Antram Ingraham teaches the art students at BHS.
