The fourth episode of “Chieftain Roll Call” has been released.

The Bellefontaine High School Key Club launched the new podcast last month.

The weekly show focuses on BHS Athletics and student organizations.

The most recent show features Bellefontaine robotics team members Austin Hammond and Oliver Moreland.

The sophomore scholars previewed an upcoming competition in Lorain.

Hammond explained the roles of various team members.

Moreland discussed his strength, which is programming the robot.

BHS is hoping to advance to the state tournament in Marion.

Bellefontaine freshman boys basketball coach Jake Kennedy recapped his first season as a head coach. His squad finished 11-9.

Kennedy spoke in-depth about his new role with the varsity football team.

Jake will be the Chiefs’ offensive coordinator in the fall.

He should know offense; Kennedy is the all-time leading passer in Wittenberg University history.

Kennedy graduated from BHS in 2015.

He played professional football in Europe in 2020 and 2021.

The show also gave an update on the BHS wrestling, swimming, and bowling teams.

Chelsea Horsley and Makayla Young won district titles in wrestling last weekend.

They will wrestle at the girls state tournament at Hilliard Davidson on Saturday and Sunday.

The boys and girls swimming teams each finished runner-up in the CBC.

In bowling, Beau Salyer and Landon Gibbs were named first-team all-league.

The show is hosted by Bill Tipple.

Teacher/coach Rick Reed and BHS student-athlete Jack Varner are regular contributors, too.

BHS Key Club members and students in Aaron Gregor’s TV Production class help produce and record the show.

“Chieftain Roll Call” is sponsored by Easton Water Solutions.

Easton Water will fund the Key Club Scholarship, which is presented each year to at least one BHS grad.
