The 12th episode of “Chieftain Roll Call” has been released.

The Bellefontaine High School Key Club launched the new podcast in January.

The weekly show focuses on BHS Athletics and student organizations.

The most recent show features Bellefontaine varsity boys tennis coach Jason Calton and two players.

Calton was joined by junior Drew Phillips and sophomore Truman Howell.

Phillips plays 1st doubles with Trey Taylor.

Howell plays 2nd singles.

Phillips and Howell have been consistent leaders for BHS throughout the season.

Calton has been the Chiefs head coach since 2020.

His initial season was cancelled because of COVID.

BHS has flourished the last two seasons.

The team finished 15-4 overall and 9-3 in the CBC in 2021.

This spring, the Chiefs went 14-5, 10-4.

“Chieftain Roll Call” is hosted by Bill Tipple.

Teacher/coach Rick Reed and BHS student-athlete Jack Varner are regular contributors, too.

BHS Key Club members and students in Aaron Gregor’s TV Production class help produce and record the show.

“Chieftain Roll Call” is sponsored by Easton Water Solutions.

Easton Water funds the Key Club Scholarship, which is presented each year to at least one BHS grad.

This year’s recipient is Courtney Sims.
