Bellefontaine City Schools will conduct a simulated intruder drill at each building on Monday, October 18th.

The full-scale drills are the result of thorough planning and preparation to ensure that they will be effective and age-appropriate.

An intruder, who is actually a law enforcement officer, will make very loud noises in the hallways.

There will be no interaction between the intruder and the students.

Intruder drills will be held at Bellefontaine High School, Bellefontaine Middle School, Bellefontaine Elementary School, and Bellefontaine Intermediate School.

Discussion and debriefing will take place after the drills. This will be available for all students and staff members.

BCS is committed to continuing to provide the highest level of safety and security for our students. These drills give us the opportunity to test our preparedness. We must practice to gain that knowledge and skill as well as to learn where we need to improve.
