If I were principal for a day: I would have an organized food fight in the cafeteria including all grades and teachers.

Favorite school memory: My freshman year the school organized a Hunger Games version of dodgeball. There was a glass ball where names of students were being drawn from. A competition to who could get to the ball the fastest ensued. A kid slid into the ball shattering it and absolute chaos ensued.

People who have been an inspiration to me: My grams and gramps, my mom, Ms. Mount, and JRob.

Lately I’ve been reading: Absurd romance novels.

My advice to parents: Let your kids be kids and don’t sweat the small stuff.

Next year: I will be attending The Ohio State University to study pharmaceutical science in hopes of getting my doctorate of pharmacy.

Name: Beau Salyer

Parents: Dwight and Jenny Salyer

Address: Bellefontaine

School activities and awards: National Honor Society Treasurer, Student United Way, soccer, and bowling.

If I were principal for a day: I would let everyone go out for an extended lunch, including teachers.

Favorite school memory: The Hunger Games dodgeball tournament.

People who have been an inspiration to me: My parents, Hacksmith Industries, and professional athletes like Jason Belmonte and Toni Kroos.

Lately I’ve been reading: The closed captioning of Netflix shows.

My advice to parents: Let your kids find their own way, don’t force them into a decision that isn’t agreed upon.

My biggest regret: Not getting into our school’s engineering classes sooner.

Next year: I will be attending the University of Cincinnati to study mechanical engineering technology.
