Bellefontaine Elementary School students were excited for classes on Friday.

The school held its annual Valentine’s Day celebration.

Kindergartners, first-graders, and second-graders participated in class activities tied into the holiday.

Students then enjoyed candies, treats, and drinks.

Many students made special boxes to haul their candy home.

Valentine’s Day originated as a Christian feast day of Saint Valentine.

It evolved into a commercial celebration of romance and love in many regions of the world.
