
The Bellefontaine High School National Honor Society tapped 33 new members Thursday afternoon.
Current members went to various classrooms and made the surprise announcement to the new members.
The new members were then recognized in the BHS Distance Learning Center.
Many parents attended the brief ceremony.
High school juniors and seniors must complete an application and write an essay to be considered for induction.
Other requirements include a 3.5 cumulative grade point average and a minimum of 6 hours of community service each year in high school.
Students must also demonstrate the four pillars of NHS – Character, Scholarship, Leadership, and Service.

BHS will host a formal induction ceremony on Thursday, April 20th at 7 p.m. in the auditorium.
