The weekly show focuses on BHS Athletics and student organizations.

This week’s edition features Bellefontaine head football coach Jason Brown, assistant football coaches Rick Reed and Art Caudill, and junior center Jack Varner.

All four guests reflected on the season-opening win at Sidney on August 19th.

The Chiefs handled the Yellow Jackets 43-13.

Junior tailback Chris Fogan rushed for 233 yards and 3 touchdowns.

Sophomore quarterback Tavien St. Clair passed for 168 yards and 2 touchdowns.

The Chiefs opened the scoring in the first quarter on a trick play.

Riley Neer took a reverse handoff from Fogan, then fired a 6-yard strike to St. Clair for the score.

The Chiefs’ offense tallied 454 yards on the night.

Coach Brown, Coach Reed, and Varner credit the offensive line for a strong performance and praise Fogan for his punishing running style.

Brown also discusses the Chiefs getting turned away at the goal line in the final minute of the first half, then Sidney scoring on a 98-yard kickoff return to start the second half.

Caudill explains how the defensive line has grown the last few weeks.

All four guests preview the showdown with Coldwater at AcuSport Stadium.

The Cavs have won seven state titles and enjoyed 25 consecutive playoff appearances.

The game will start at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

“Chieftain Roll Call” is hosted by Bill Tipple.

Students in Aaron Gregor’s TV Production class help produce and record the show.

“Chieftain Roll Call” is sponsored by Easton Water Solutions.
