Bellefontaine High School hosted the Jimmy Mac Invitational on Saturday.

Ten wrestling teams competed in the annual event, which is named after former longtime BHS wrestling coach Jim McDonald.

Jim passed away last month. He was 78.

Tournament director Rick Reed presented this year’s Jimmy Mac Award to Bart Pattison of Bellefontaine.

The award goes to a supporter of the BHS wrestling program.

Pattison has helped in several ways over the years. His sons, Boris and Bruno, wrestled for the Chiefs.

Covington won the tournament with 180.5 points. Beavercreek was runner-up with 131 points.

The Chiefs finished ninth with 60 points.

For Bellefontaine, Makayla Young and Jeffery Smith each finished second at 106 lbs.

Wes Morris (126), Zavier May (144), and Josh Steiner (215) each placed fourth.

Parker Knox (165) and Daniel Huggins (195) each finished sixth.

The Chiefs will host Milton-Union on Thursday at 6 p.m.
