The Bellefontaine football team used their strength for a worthy cause early Friday morning.
Several BHS football players arrived at the Logan County Fairgrounds to carry luggage for the Vets to DC trip.
A large contingent of players loaded luggage on the two chartered buses before school started.
The buses left the fairgrounds around 8 a.m.
They were given a police escort on Main Street through downtown, then headed east on Route 33.
Several residents and business owners lined Main Street during the send-off.
The trip allows World War II, Korean, and Vietnam veterans to see the war memorials and share memories of their service.
The veterans will return Sunday afternoon around 5 o’clock.
