Why you love being a Chieftain: There are several reasons I love being a Chieftain. I had the privilege to experience being a Chieftain as a student, my own children also graduated from BCS, and my father worked for the district for almost 30 years. The long-term relationships, shared experiences, and students I have taught make the connection to BCS so rewarding. These relationships have helped me become a better educator, and I would not enjoy teaching as much if it was not for the awesome students and staff.

Classroom motto or quote to live by: “Every day may not be good, but there is something good in every day.”

What you love doing outside of school: I love to spend time with my husband, two children, and friends. I enjoy reading, watching TV, and walking my dog, Rio. During the summer, you can find me sitting on a boat at Norris Lake.
