
17 Bellefontaine High School students attended the Ohio DECA Career Development Conference at the Columbus Convention Center last weekend.
The following Chiefs competed at state:
Austin Hammond and Jordan Butler – Independent Business Plan
Raelynn Kirkpatrick – Professional Selling
Emma Middaugh – Hospitality and Tourism Professional Selling
Chloe Lloyd – Business Operations Research
Marco Martinez and Seth Taylor – Entrepreneurship Teams
Layci Salyer and Maddie Williams – Hospitality and Tourism Teams
Zach Horvath – Business Growth Plan
Dainela Salcedo Hernandez, Ellise St. Clair, and Avery Plikerd – Start Up Business Plan
Lily Palmer, Keagon Overton-Story, Mia Oppy, and Ashton Carey participated as voting delegates.
These students qualified for nationals in Atlanta on April 23rd-26th:
Dainela Salcedo Hernandez, Ellise St. Clair, and Avery Plikerd – 2nd in the state
Zach Horvath – 3rd in the state
Emma Middaugh – 4th in the state
Chloe Lloyd, Marco Martinez, and Seth Taylor will represent BHS at the Aspire and Elevate Leadership Academies.
DECA prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs in marketing, finance, hospitality, and management.
