Katie Buffkin is this week’s recipient.

Title: District Nurse/Varsity Softball Coach

Years of experience: I’ve been the district nurse since 2007. I became the varsity softball coach in 2009.

Why you love being a Chieftain: It is about having and taking pride in family, career, school, and community. My husband and I both are BCS graduates as are both our parents and now our four kids are BCS students.

What you love doing outside of school: I enjoy spending time with my family, watching my kids’ sporting events, and coaching softball.
