
Three teams of Bellefontaine High School students attended the Envirothon competition at Camp Myeerah on Tuesday.
The Envirothon is an environmental and natural resource conservation problem-solving, teambuilding, and leadership experience and competition for high school students incorporating STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) principles, experiential learning, and hands-on outdoor field experiences.
The Envirothon fosters student learning in the areas of aquatic ecology, forestry, soils and land use, wildlife, and current environmental issues.
BHS students David Moody, Maggie Howard, Katie Pool, Julia Easton, Mason Stanley, Gabe Foreman, Mekenzie Flora, Audrie Sellars, Taylor Banta, Jayden Sims, Kailyn Newman, Airiana Young, Savannah Sheeley, Caitlyn Neill, and Connor Skidmore participated.
Envirothon is coached by Kristy Mount with the assistance of Jennifer Hanson.
