Bellefontaine City Schools is proud to announce its Thursday Tribe Member of the Week.
Tammie Garman is this week’s recipient.
Title: Transportation Director
Years of experience: I have 21 years of experience at BCS. Fifteen of those years were driving our most precious cargo while the last 6 years have been spent leading the best group of co-workers a person could ask for.
Why you love being a Chieftain: I was born and raised right here in Chieftain Country. I was blessed to raise my 3 kids in Bellefontaine, and all 3 have gone on and done amazing things with the education they received at BCS. I’m a proud 1984 graduate of Bellefontaine High School. I’m blessed to work with some of the best individuals who take being a Chieftain to heart.
Classroom motto or quote to live by: Always live today like it’s your last; tomorrow is not promised to anyone.
What you love doing outside of school: I love spending as much time with my kids and grandkids as I can. I also enjoy traveling to many remote mountain trails with my husband to ride our side-by-side in the mud, reading, and of course, my Wednesday Girls’ Night.
