The mask mandate at
Bellefontaine Middle School is about to end.
The following is a
message from Bellefontaine Superintendent Brad Hall.
“The middle school has
witnessed a dramatic drop in COVID+ cases during the last week. I am happy to
report that the Logan County Health District has agreed to end the mask requirement
at BMS, effective Monday, September 20th.
“This does not mean that
students are not strongly encouraged to wear masks so we don’t have a repeat of
this situation. It does mean that masks are no longer a requirement at the
middle school on Monday.
“I
know both sides of this issue has been a source of frustration for many. I want
you to know that I appreciate everyone’s efforts to keep us in school. It is
through that combined effort that the requirement is ending nine days earlier
than expected. Thank you. Have a great weekend and Go Chiefs!”
