Junie Lickfelt

Bellefontaine City Schools is well represented in the Wall of Fame at Lee’s Famous Recipe Chicken in Bellefontaine.

The Bellefontaine Police Department, Lee’s Famous Recipe Chicken, and 98.3 WPKO & 107.3 The Drive unveiled the newest Wall of Fame members Tuesday night.

Four students from Bellefontaine City Schools and two students from Calvary Christian were honored during the ceremony at the restaurant.

The inductees were chosen by staff members for their leadership, selfless service to others, and dedication to making our community better.

Each school was asked to select one student and provide a summary of why the student was chosen.

Their photo and summary are featured in the Wall of Fame display in the restaurant.

The inductees include:

Junie Lickfelt, Bellefontaine Elementary School, 2nd-grader

Bellefontaine Elementary is proud to announce Junie Lickfelt as our Lee's Wall of Fame winner for the third quarter. Junie is a second-grader at BES this year. Junie was nominated for her kind heart and her sweet nature that she presents to the world every day. Junie will go out of her way to make sure that everyone at school feels welcome and included. She is always looking out for others and will gladly help anyone in need. She can be seen befriending a student on the playground when they look lonely or down, making sure they know they aren't alone. Junie is so deserving of this award and BES is so proud of her!

Desmond Howard, Bellefontaine Intermediate School, 5th-grader

Desmond truly exemplifies what being a Chieftain Leader means. His behavior is respectful which helps to keep himself and others safe. He always meets expectations and while he expresses his fun, unique personality, he never strays into disrespectful or disruptive behavior. He reminds others of the expectations and I believe he takes being a learner seriously. Desmond is an example to the other students of what a Chieftain Leader truly looks and acts like.

Chloe Knox, Bellefontaine Middle School, 6th-grader

Chloe Knox has been selected as the Lee's Famous Recipe Outstanding student for 6th grade because her behavior sets the standard for our class. Chloe has a great attitude about her work and completes her work with the highest quality in mind. She does not hesitate to help others when needed and continues to grow, both academically and socially. She is the epitome of an outstanding student at Bellefontaine Middle School.

Jacob McNutt, Bellefontaine High School, 10th-grader

Bellefontaine High School is proud to nominate Jacob McNutt for the Lee’s Famous Recipe Chicken Wall of Fame. Jacob, a sophomore, is one of the kindest students you will meet at BHS. Always quick with a “Hello” and a smile, Jacob exceeds the Chieftain expectations (Be Safe, Be Respectful, Be a Learner) in all that he does. Jacob is always willing to lend a helping hand around the school. The staff at BHS is proud to call him a Chieftain!

Landen Jackson, Calvary Christian Middle School, 7th-grader

Landen is a kind person who is willing to help out and serve in any way he can. Often, he will stay after school events have ended and volunteer to help clean up. He participates well in class. He is outgoing and loves to visit and talk with the office staff and teachers. He is a friend to everyone. Overall, Landen is an excellent student who treats everyone with respect.

Ezekiel Wylie, Calvary Christian High School, 11th-grader

Zeeke Wylie has been recommended for his authenticity, humility, and leadership. Zeeke has demonstrated leadership qualities by faithfully being a part of the Chapel band and Worship team. He works with other ASB members to make sure that chapel continues to run smoothly so people can enjoy worshiping Jesus. He encourages others to step out of their comfort zone and get involved and to use their talents and gifts for Jesus. Zeeke has a great attitude and helps with Spartan groups and encourages others with their walk with the Lord and to get involved. He has an amazing work ethic and challenges himself with academics and sports and does not give up. He competes fiercely and also is the kind of guy that picks a player up on the basketball court. He willingly goes out of his way to serve, help out, and is a good friend and great role model. He is always willing to help and he is always himself. He faced a huge challenge moving someplace new, but he has been able to adjust and make a positive impact here at Calvary.

Family members and school administrators attended the ceremony, which was streamed live on peakofohiotv.com.
