Several accomplished student-athletes were given a send-off at Bellefontaine High School Thursday afternoon.

Wrestlers Chelsea Horsley and Makayla Young along with swimmers Elias Abrego, Nolan Core, John Fulmer, Blake McDonald, Aidan Mifsud, Vivian Eader, Sarah Fulmer, Morgan Henry, Joslyn Robinson, Gabby Stolly, and Olivia Ullom walked through a clap out.

Moments before the final bell, students lined the hallways and clapped as the 13 athletes walked past them.

Horsley and Young will compete at the girls state wrestling tournament at Hilliard Davidson on Saturday and Sunday.

The swimmers will compete at the district meet at Miami University on Friday.
