Two local schools are teaming up to remember 9/11.
During this 20th anniversary year, several activities are
planned when Bellefontaine visits Benjamin Logan in football on Friday,
September 10th.
First responders will be welcomed by student leaders from
both schools. Seats will be designated on each side.
During the halftime show, marching bands from Bellefontaine
and Benjamin Logan will perform patriotic songs together and first responders
from the local communities will be recognized.
Through a combined gift to the 9/11 Memorial and Museum,
BCS and Benjamin Logan will help support the mission of the museum in sharing
the stories of hope and resilience, sacrifice and service, and good will and
community that inspired us in the aftermath of 9/11.
A collaborative patriotic t-shirt fundraiser at both
schools will help sustain a place for remembrance, reflection, and learning for
years to come, ensuring that future generations will know the story of 9/11.
Both communities will take part in honoring the memories of
those killed on 9/11 as they proudly wear these shirts and stand as one.
The deadline to order t-shirts is August 31st.
