Bellefontaine High School Morning Announcements
Thursday, March 18, 2010     

Key Club will host a "reduced price" bake sale today during lunch. Remember, all proceeds go to Gracehaven, a very worthy cause.

Seniors! Tuesday, March 23, there will be a class meeting in the auditorium during A/I. Please bring a pencil and report to the auditorium. Do not report to your A/I. Attendance will be taken in during the meeting.

Seniors. You will not be allowed to go out to lunch on Friday due to the shortened lunch periods during OGT week.

Mrs. Brown's class would like to invite all American Idol Fans to vote for your favorite boy and girl! Please visit the American Idol bulletin board located between rooms 106 and 108. Sign your name by your favorite girl and boy. Watch for weekly eliminations.

BHS!! Do you remember Chad rocking out to High School Musical in the assembly last year? Want more of The Vexed or Absent Effect? The 2nd Annual BHS Talent Show presented by Interact is this Friday at 7:00. Admission is $3 or $2 with a canned good. All proceeds go to Gracehaven and all canned foods will go to the Lutheran Center Food pantry. Come Friday to support 2 great charities and to see your classmates display their talent!"

Chieftain Starbooks has been such a huge hit with all, we decided to offer Chieftain Travel Mugs for your favorite Cappuccino flavor. The mugs are red with a black Chieftain head and Chieftain Pride! on the front. On the back it will say Be The Change! to continue the Challenge Day theme. They each hold 16 oz of your favorite flavor. The cost is $5.00 each but if you purchase one, the first fill-up will be FREE! Additional fill-ups will be $1.00. I have a sample of the mug in the library if you would like to see it before ordering. Payment is due at the time of the order. Order forms are available in the library. The sale will run Friday, March 12th- Thursday, March 25th. We will place the order on Friday, March 26th. Hurry in to order yours. See me or Mrs. Schmidt if you have any questions.

High School students ages 15-18: The WIA Youth program will be offered again this summer through Job & Family Services. If you are interested in further information, please pick up a flyer in the guidance office. This is a program designed for Career exploration and work experience opportunities in Logan County.

SEX TRADE and TRAFFICKING! Did that get your attention? It's a real problem, and we have Gracehaven in Logan County to help these girls. WHAT CAN YOU DO? you ask.
Here are two things:
1. St. Patrick's Day flower grams, candy grams, and clover grams will be available for presale on Monday during lunch. They will then be delivered on St. Patrick's Day, Wednesday during A&I. Flower grams--$3, Candy grams--$2, Clover grams--$1
2. A bake sale will be held on Wednesday during the lunch periods in the cafeteria. Come on over and buy some home baked goodies.
Both activities are sponsored by Key Club with ALL $$$ going to Gracehaven. Please help us with the worthy cause.
A DARE meeting will be held today during AI in the cafeteria. All DARE/youth to youth members, please attend. DARE in cafeteria during AI today.
Chieftains, make sure to stop by the Tribal Shop during lunch today to buy fresh baked Chocolate Chip Cookies - 2 cookies for only .75 cents.
All students. Next week is OGT testing week. All Freshman & Sophomores will be reporting at the normal time 7:45. Freshman will be reporting to their A&I rooms & Sophomores will receive testing room assignments. Juniors & Seniors that still have sections to pass should have received a letter about when & where to report.

Juniors & Seniors that have passed all sections of the OGT need to report on a two hour delay schedule. Bus transportation will be running on the normal schedule & Juniors & Seniors that have passed the OGT & ride the bus will report to the library for a study hall.
