Remote days for bad weather
Posted on 11/17/2020
Snow, Ice, Fog… We are approaching the time of year when snow and ice can make it challenging to have school open. The Bellefontaine City School District has the ability to provide remote lessons through Schoology. That will eliminate the need to cancel school due to bad weather. This year, rather than cancel school, bad weather days will be remote days.  READ MORE...

BCS Notification 10/11/2020

Good evening. This is Brad Hall, Superintendent of Bellefontaine City Schools. I have an update for you on transportation, computers, and our return to school. First, please remember that the district is returning to full, in-person, learning five days a week starting on Monday. Due to the increased number of riders on buses next week, combined with the quarantine of some of our drivers, I am sorry to report that Bus 11 will not be running its route next week. That brings the total to 3 routes that will not be running, Bus 3 (Jaguars), Bus 9 (Kangaroos), and Bus 11 (Elephants). Also, Bus 12 (Horses) will continue to run for BES and BIS only. Bus 12 for BMS and BHS route will not run. This is a reminder from a message that went out this past Monday, students and families who will be returning to full-time in-person learning AND who have a district-owned technology device that they have been using…those devices will need to be turned in tomorrow. Devices can be dropped off at the same location where they were picked up between 7:00a.m. - 6:00 p.m. That’s Monday, at the High School, between 7:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. Please do not send the device to school with your child. Thank you and we look forward to seeing students tomorrow.  READ MORE...
